Lovely use of tone and good capture of the sheen. It does well for the Gibson title too. |

Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi gooc :)
I think this is an excellent image. I dind't vote on this challenge and I don't know the literary item you chose for your theme either, but I think the image is very strong on it's own. I like the point of view and the 'complexity' of the composition as well. I believe that this photo didn't score well in the challenge because of the actual complexity though. It's a very unfortunate situation on DPC that causes this phenomenon. I believe that the nature of the challenge and the number of entries therein doesn't lend itself well to any single image that requires much thought from the viewer. If you browse the winning photos in any challenge(s) you will quickly see that they are all quite simplistic in their composition and themes. There are rarely winners that actually require the viewer to think much about what they are seeing. Each image usually has immediate and strong visual appeal/impact regardless of the chosen theme...
Keep up the good work :)

Nice shot :) This looks like a locker room at first but I'm guessing its a server centre of sorts going by the title? |

Not familiar with the book. As a photo, there was a lot of unbalanced light. Also it was out of focus. To remedy the problems, use a tripod if you didn't, adjust white balance a bit better when you take the shot, and there may be a filter that would have done better at balancing the light, maybe neutral density. |
