LOL'd at the idea, I don't think I'd put it together without the title. Try using lighting outside the onboard flash. Also, how about seeing the kitchen in the background. Looks like you're using a point and shoot (without much control on aperature), try stepping back a few paces and zooming in -- it'll give you that depth of field you long for! Gave you a six. Good effort! |

A bit more attention and care in the presentation would enhance the impact. The rumpled, distracting background does not help, and there was clearly no attempt to deal with the edge of the table. the light is harsh and flat, giving little sense of depth or form. not to mention that the very idea you have depicted here is improbably unrealistic and unappetizing. |

nothing is sharp, what is the focus/subject, the background is distracting 6 |

The reasoning of why people insist on using flash, especially in an indoor picture, really escapes me. |

OMG! I haven't seen jelly shoes since I was kid. LOL! |

Good humorous idea. Focus on jellies (seems to be on glass), more DOF and a plain background would be better. |

gross - oh, I get it now - what a creative idea for a composition- a little bit better focus and maybe purple jelly shoes and this would have worked more easily. The napkin behind is a little distracting just because of the symetry of the pattern and it not being straight or flat. I think that moving everything a little closer together would have helped bring this composition together |

That's funny, I'd have gone for a tighter crop and really focus on the jellies. |

This is one of those set-ups that has only one function--meeting the challenge. While this is a photo of shoes, and there is some creativity behind the idea, ultimately, it is the type of shot that has no place outside the very narrow confines of this one challenge. This type of photograph doesn't seem to consider asthetic values at all. Why would someone actually want to view this photograph? I'm not asking this to be sarcastic. This is something every member should ask themselves before submitting to any challenge. |
