 Obviously inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, widely regarded as the first American novel.

Taken in my own private redneck studio (bedroom, bedsheet, halogen shop light diffused with a pillowcase). PP: Selective desat, lots of burning, a little dodging, a little sharpening.

No idea how this will fare, but it's an idea I had almost as soon as I saw the challenge description and I worked all week on it, so I'm entering it anyway.
No idea how this will do but I like it.

I was in Boston this last week on vacation and we took a day to head up to Salem... took a tour of the Custom house where Mr. Hawthorn says he got his inspiration for the book.
