The more you worked with it? Perhaps a very low processing version could be posted and we could more easily judge the photo...
I feel that this looks quite soft, but it looks like you have some odd filters going on here. Perhaps what would have worked better would have been to keep the Eagle head sharp, but put the filter on the background instead...
I have heard that recommended USM settings on 0 sharpening images from the 20D is 300, 0.3, 0. I have been using 80-90, 0.3, 0 on images from my S2 which are probably going to be fairly sharpened already in camera, and I have had some pretty decent results. You might want to give those settings a play-with for your eagle? |

Well, hard to answer that, the more we worked with this, the stronger that discoloration/mud/dirt/line down the middle of his head became. To the point it looked like a stripe, so guess you could say it is soft on purpose, but not our choice, or at least did not feel like it was. |

Wow - that's one 'dangerous' looking beak. The bird is a little soft, is it intentional? |
