 I wanted to call this ' First "Ink" ' but didn't think enough voters would get it.
Most people have 'self-tattooed' themselves with a pen at some time during their school days.
This is a friend, Jamie. She is in grade 12. I wanted the everyday look of an average schoolgirl with a dose of attitude...not a glamour shot. But that being said, she is gorgeous!
I said "come as you are, look mean, and let me draw something stupid on your knuckles"
This was taken side-on to a window to catch the natural light.

Creative use of lighting - pulling her away from the wall would eliminate that unseemly shadow. Creative composition and good focus. Nice angle and good cropping!

You can tell I'm getting old - I used to agree with this "expression" but now I know how important school really is. I guess I don't care for the message but it meets the challenge and I really like the lighting from below and the perspective. Nice job :)
