This is my second attempt at this challenge, the first one flooded my studio :(

Very basic set up in terms of lighting and post process. One light camera left, did a few different poses. In PS I cropped slightly and decided to go with black and white (it was pretty much black and white anyway ;). Finally adjusted levels, added the border and saved.

I happened to have the gas mask left over from a project I did recently, and I love the mysterious look it gives, although I think low key and mysterious go hand in hand, hopefully my choice of subject matter will stand out! I tilted the head slightly and blacked out the eyes to add to the feel of the picture.

Well for not doing anything nasty to the studio, and better for being a nicely captured image. Nice lighting. Hope to see some more of your work too.

Like the composition. Tones are incredibly good and the technical quality of this image is among the best in this challenge. Should place very high.
