 This was one of my first shots. It was taken just after some light rain, the forest looked new and all the dust and grime had been washed away, like no one had ever been there before. Then you see these leaves with patterns eaten into them and you have to remember that we are not the only beings on this planet, wherever we go, some thing has been there before us.

I love the vibrant colour of this photo and the story it tells. Even though I have taken many, many photo's since this, it still remains my favourite!

I can see why. The trails left from the insects really is quite fascinating.
