The idea is great, but this doesn't look like much more than just a holiday snap. Could you have waited for people to get out of the way? I dig the sign though, an important part of the picture. :-)

I'm not sure what your framing was supposed to accomplish -- it seems to serve no purpose. What were you going for?

Nice work.

good idea, but the photo seems lacking

poor composition - interpretation lost

unable to really judge how high up you really are - I don't suffer from this so not really sure if clarity on how high you are really matters - however I don't get "fear" out of this since I can't see what the actual fear is, make sense?

Good idea, but for execution perhaps you could have tried a shot looking over the rail.

Nice scenery shot. Open places don't bother me, but I see your point. I hope others will as well. What's up with the sign? 8 Swash

I assume you are at a great height, but other than the sign, it is difficult to tell this. Nice color and focus.

I think that this picture is a little heavy on the left side. Framing is off. Subject not very interesting.

Would have been better if you could see the dropoff

Great idea!

meeting challenge = 3. This would have been better if there were more perspective on the height. photo quality = 3. would have been nice if the woman did not have her back turned - or if she were closer to the wall looking over. total = 6

Fear of heights :) I wonder why you didn't photograph over the edge to show the height? = 6 - jmsetzler

The sign suggests there is something to be afraid of here, but I have no idea what. The dismembered arm on the left hurt a bit. Cropping could have made this a better shot, but unless you know what Absril Africa is, it's not going to meet the challenge for me. On a side note, I like the red hair against the blue sea.

The woman is really distracting. I think your best bet here would have been to get a shot of the man sitting down from a high angle so you could see the drop below him better. This just looks like a family vacation photo.

Nice colours but would have looked better without the 2 figures on the left.

Hmm...not sure what Abseil is. The water is pretty beautiful though. Not sure what the people are doing, they don't really look all that scared, so I think just the sign with the wall and the water would have been a whole lot more effective.

i dont get it
07/08/2002 05:09:00 PM
I don't get it, I do but I don't. I see happy people hanging out on a viewpoint. Is this a fear of heights? I would crop down to remove the overexposed sky and crop from the right to remove what I think is hair or a thumb? How about seeing what is slightly insane. kris

You just took this-this week? Wow timely shot here and very nice. Super colors. Kee

This is more of a snapshot with the cropped off people on each side and not sure I understand what it means. I do understand the title.
