 This hawk flew out from behind me as I was trying to get some shots of the marsh. I almost missed it completely while waiting for my camera to finish processing my last shots!

I believe it is actually a Northern Harrier, although I am no expert. They are quite common in this area.

A Common Black Hawk?

I stand corrected - a Northern Harrier. Nice design, with racing stripe and all. :-)

Now that you know where he likes to hang out, you will have to go back and get him again... that marsh looks like a real neat place to hang out at.
