 Found this battered safety ring at the coast in a cold weather and remembered this challenge. But expected to have more time to do something more, still I like joining in ...

Cropped, little more contrast, reduced the red color and increased the yellow a bit since my hand was frightingly cold...

Great concept. You did a pretty good job with the color...it's tough to get skin color saturation right. Interesting composition/crop, too. 9.
