 I still have a long way to go on low key, it seems. I like this shot primarily because my sister is a potter and the mug is one she made for me.

PP - reduced exposure, increased shadows in RAW; exposure gamma and offset in PS; autolevels, USM, resize.

how i wish i could pull off lighting like this. it's perfect, the textures and shapes are perfectly lit and balanced with shadows.

I do like this a lot; it has a nice balance to it. I think it is a great shame the highlights on the jug are as blown as they are.

Oh yeah! This is a wonderful low key image! The lighting is perfect! Just enough to give shape and interest, but dark enough to look rich and elegant. I love this!
