I do like how you played with this. Your title is interesting as well. I would have had the other two guys doing something, it would have made the pic more interesting. As is, it looks like a snapshot. The flame is neat and I love the rustic setting.

While it's true that a lot of people barbecue in their yard/garden, this area they're in looks wild enough to not convey that strongly to me. Also, I'm not sure what you did with the color in this but I don't care for it and it looks overly processed.

nice composition, but not sure why you used selective desaturation. it doesnt seem to serve a specific purpose

The title/subject doesn't amuse me. There is red that was not eliminated. good try on saturation. 4

weird color effects which do not add to the picture but take all attention away

why that purple cast? i guess it't a left-over from desaturation, right?

this doesn't say garden to me. bbq in the garden? you sure that isn't just a backyard? i see no traces of garden life. :oP

in another challenge, the selective color use may have worked, but given the theme, the fire being highlighted, while a cool effect, doesn't work.

Interesting effect. really makes the fire jump out. you should have desaturated the magenta too.

bad focus on the feet, don't know what you're aiming for with the random red tint, too photoshopped for my taste, not really in a garden - 1

Like this shot. Good use of subdued colors. Subjects in perspective..nice stuff!
