This is an awesome lightning shot, well done. You captured the strike perfectly. It is also nice to see detail in the clouds. I like how the cold colours in the sky contrast with the warm colours in the foreground. You should consider cloning out the leaves on the right of the image.

Awesome shot and great color in the sky. I would maybe crop in closer to the strike and decrease the foreground a lot.

comment from my 1-4-0 thread...

I love to see a great shot and maybe offer improvement. My first thought was there is too much foreground but after viewing for a moment longer I like it. Maybe rotate it a degree or so to the right? Great capture Sameer.

Incredible color contrast. I'm a fan of warm/cold contrast and combined with the awesome visual a double light strike provides it's an absolutely incredible photo to look at.

wow, lightning shots are very cool but you rarely see them with a nice city scape as the foreground. The tungsten of the street lights contrasts well with the light of the sky. My only complaint is that it seems to be blurry on the left and right of the shot. Not sure why but not a big deal.

Wow, if this is without photoshops magic, very nice shot. The double strike really makes this stand out.

This is a superb image Sam! Very well shot and the warm versus the cold colors works wonders. Great shot!

wow excellent pic! I especially like the sharpness of the lightning and the gloomy cloud right above it. The ground below give the sense of depth really well. good take!

Excellent pic. I love the intensity of the clouds above and the bolt was a very good capture.

The only thing troubling me is the branch on the right and of course, the text on the bottom left.

I would maybe also look at cropping some of the foreground off, it kinda distracts from focussing on the action above.

Alas, it could also be seen as a kind of road into it, to please disregard if you dont agree :)

Wow. NICEly done.

The lightning is excellent, but for me, the real star is those clouds. WOO.

I am immediately drawn into this picture by the use of the contrasting yellow foreground against those wildly ominous blue-black clouds. Extremely well laid out.

The only thing that could have been improved would perhaps have been the slight camera-shake or something that softens the buildings...

Hardly something worth a nitpick when dealing with the very tricky timing involved in lightning.

Wow, one of my favorite of your portfolio. Love, love, love the color (I'm a color person).... Nice detail on the lightening. One suggestion would be crop a little more to the right to get rid of the branches or get rid of them somehow. nice job
