I like pictures that have something to say--and this one certainly does. I think the composition works well. The major shapes lead me around the image and the reflection hints that things could be better.

The clarity of the water and all the sunken leaves are cool, even the garbage items add, but the top half of the image is too busy. |

Disgusting. This shot however is great. Has a photojournalism feel to it, like something I would see in a Sierra Club publication |

Interesting hue, the white bottle is a touch too exposed for my liking and the reflection in the water distracts me. But otherwise I enjoy this shot.
See, litter is good, it can be such an artistic influence. *lol* j/k
A polarizer would allow you to get a nicer, less distracting, feel on the reflection |
