I like the effect you created, and the colors work very well together, but in my opinion there really isn't any yellow, looks more like orange and red to me. I think if the lighter color had been a really strong bright lemon yellow you would have scored much higher. |

Well I like it. There's a reason for cliche's. People like certain things and this type of shot is one of them.
There's a little junk in the glass at the top on the right, and a few curvy areas in the stem and at the very top that probably distracted the voters. The one thing I've noticed about these types of images is that the really good ones are near perfect symmetry. The lines are straight, the sides balance each other perfectly etc. I couldn't do it. But then take a look at my yellow entry, then take this comment with a grain of salt :)
Nice job. |

I just looked at just the top third/half and it looks like a face with Rasta (Ganja) eyes and a MONSTER afro. This could have been an interesting variant...
I think the glass is your greatest obstacle in this pic. When I did my first glass picture, I was surprised at how low the quality is in glassware. Man, when is Canon going to come out with some L series goblets, snifters and other assorted wine glasses? |

Nice use of lines and reflections/refractions, good composition. Works well as a vertical layout, which helps to draw the eye along the stem of the glass, and follow that line from top to bottom.
It'd be good if the yellow was just a little bit brighter, and a bit... yellower! |

Good shot...
Only reason your score is lower than others that have done this is that the red draws the attention away from the yellow and the yellow actually looks a little orange...other than that it is well composed and shot |

My opinion, the yellow is too orange in tint for some (know that different monitors see differently) and the upper left of the goblet dissappears, blending right in with the background, losing all definition, so for me that would detract from scoring well.

I think I would have liked to see the yellow a bit more yellow as well. I too liked the way the curve of the bottom of the glass dissipated into the picture. I think, for me, the colors just werent as pleasing to the eye as they might have been. |

Cliche maybe, but a fine shot none the less. I think the only problem I have with this is that the yellow is not dominant, and in this sense the image lacks a little impact. |

I really like how the glass seems to almost disappear where it curves. I think the one thing that did bother me was the way the line at the top curves, due to the glass curvature. And I will admit, I am a bit tired of these, but I do think you did a pretty good job of it just the same. |

Yeah, I can see it's been done a lot, but 5.0? That seems lower than it should be. This is sharp, has good 'pop', is nicely saturated. The only things it has going against it are the slight curve in the top dividing line and the fact that we've seen it done a lot. Not enough to lower the score to where it was in my opinion. Nice shot. |

Yep, and I gave a cliche score. I would have liked to have seen more yellow reflected in the left side of the bowl of the glass, to match the red on the right side - it sort of gets lost in the red. |
