Nice idea. I wonder if you could have pulled that "collar" off the stem, I keep wishing it wasn't there. I like how the upper part disappears into darkness, it works well with the subject.

Soomehow this would be a stronger image if the gray 'collar' on the right could have been peeled off for the photo. The stalk and gills make for very effective composition and tonal range as well as sharpness.

Love the textures but I think it would be a lot better without the grey out of focus part in front.

Unusual and good. I would exclude the blueish whatever-it-is on the front and concentrate on brown folds and top bit of white stem
