 I know its a little cliched but I like it... Setup in my home studio with a strobe.

Light crop, levels on entire image
Levels seperately on ladybird and stem, dodged top of stem
Cloned out a couple of imperfections on the stem
Resize, sharpen, save for web

Not too far from the original, just a bit more pop after editing

I am having a hard time finding the point of focus. It may be the ladybug, but that seems a little soft as well.

an interesting concept... falls short however due to the lack of focus in the flower... the lady bug suits the title.. a long way to the top indeed...

The title and sharpness on the ladybug suggest it was your subject, but the flower unfortunately over powers the image - not sure everyone is going to get it. Nice image though - good luck!

great idea ... but perhaps a little off the top might have made it easier to see the lady bug
