Well, as usual, I don't know about this one :-) I'm sure I'll get hammered like normal. I must be a glutton for punishment :-) I guess I just have a quirky taste. Like most of my stuff, there is just sometimes this little pocket of folks that dig it, and I suppose that is what fuels my fire. So like I always say, if a couple of people dig it, than I'm happy :-) Besides, I gotta get some use out of these stupid feathers I bought for the 'Pick 2' challenge! hehehe
So it is a yellow feather on a black background. Did a long exposure in the dark and then 'painted with light', using an ordinary flashlight. In ps-cropped, noise reduction, a little bit of healing brush, an overlay layer with the opacity dropped, a selective color adj. and a hue/sat adj. I actually originally had a long crop, then got a notion and tried the square, thought it looked better so went with that.
I don't normally ask for a critique, but I would like one on this shot. Compositionally, and the actual concept, this is what I was going for. I would really like to know what technically and lighting wise, and possibly post processing wise I could of done differently/better to improve this.

| Cool feather. Nice framing. Crease in the fabric is a bit distracting, but overall very nice. |
