 This was taken at the same time as my Childrens Toy challenge entry ("Sandcastle"). I actually planned to take some texture shots of the tidepool that is usually there, but we were a few hours late and the tide was in, so I walked around the beach for my next texture shot.

Major kudos to my wife for this one actually. I was taking a picture of the rock and sand - she just walked up, threw the dried seaweed next to the rock and walked away - not a word spoken. I looked through the lens and - pure genius! A totally new textural element added that really made the shot (a least for me). I didn't even reposition the seaweed, that's exactly where it landed. Man, I love that woman!

Hardly any post-processing - minor crop off left, some burning in of the sand and shine off the rock, resize (to the new and improved 720), slight USM and borders.
