I think this one has too much cropped off. I liked your entry version better. If anything, I would suggest that you only crop a small amount off the bottom to where it is in this shot, but leave the darker area at the top of the shot. I also find the dodge spot on the swan's neck to be unnatural looking as it is the only really bright spot on the whole swan (JMO).
