This is a BRONZE statue

that guy's not chrome

The tilted horizon, overpowering background, and the fact it's bronze rather than chrome will all bring your score down a great deal. Try bringing your subject out of center, in this case I think more space in front of him than behind, leading your eye in the direction he's about to launch into.

Looks like bronze to me!

lots of noise. The challenge was "CHROME", not "BRONZE".

Love the sculture (which is bronxe) so you're going to bomb in this challenge - it doesn't deserve that. One thing to look out for is the background. You don't need it in this shot so if you can change your aperture somehow down to 2.8 or as low as it goes, that shortens the depth of field and makes the background all out of focus

not chrome

Hmmm...not chrome....

Is this a chrome statue? I find the background distracting. Taking it from another direction, or useing a blurring filter on the background might help.

chrome?
04/13/2006 04:58:07 AM
Bronze,not to be rude
04/12/2006 09:57:57 PM
Um I think you've got your elements mixed up. This is bronze ;(
04/12/2006 09:19:06 PM
Sorry, but it looks as though you just thoughtlessly went out and snapped the first "chrome" thing you saw. Little attention seems to have been given to actual technical details.

Is it chrome? Looks more like copper!
04/12/2006 07:06:33 PM
aaaahhh, I think that's bronze, not chrome...
04/12/2006 03:33:40 PM
This would be bronze I think.
04/12/2006 01:15:09 PM
I'm pretty sure this is bronze.

Interesting sculpture. Statue is not chrome, DNMC. A more frontal angle would be better with lighting to expose face.

Interesting statue. Question. Isn't that bronze? Where's the chrome? ;^)
04/12/2006 09:47:14 AM
Seems to be a bronze, maybe? More contrast is needed by the head of the statue, and the background is cluttered.
04/12/2006 09:23:36 AM
Bronze? Patina? But chrome??
04/12/2006 03:23:09 AM
This looks like bronze, not chrome.
