This doesn't seem candid.

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.

Nice photo of two pots, but not a candid. In photography, one expects to see a person or persons in an out of the ordinary pose or situation that shows a story or emotion. This is two pots. No real candid here.

Sorry, don't get how this fits the challenge

and the kettle said...dnmc. if your score isn't where you would like it to be, you might want to read this thread

This does not even come close to being a candid, not even if you're imaginative about the concept.
04/15/2006 08:39:08 AM
I'm not sure how this fits the challenge
04/15/2006 12:26:22 AM
Candid?
04/15/2006 12:19:39 AM
these pots did not know you were takeing the photo so it was candid?????
04/14/2006 03:21:07 PM
Hang on a sec... a candid pot? I must admit- you caught the pot in a natural pose that truly captures the spirit of the moment. My only critism is this- was this photo staged? I believe you put those pots into that pose! Nice Jugs!
04/14/2006 10:45:24 AM
Nice still life composition, unfortunately it doesn't include an unposed person or animal to meet the candid challenge. Clearer and sharper with a plainer background would be better.
04/13/2006 09:15:27 PM
by definition you can't take a candid picture of inanimate objects
04/13/2006 08:32:26 PM
um, unsure which ine you are taking the candid of. nice pic of pots though.
04/13/2006 07:15:53 PM
Is this candid? Or are they posing? Inscrutable, those pots.
04/13/2006 11:57:35 AM
are you smoking too much?
04/13/2006 07:27:50 AM
DNMC - I dont see candid here - here is not even enough here to catch my attention form a composition point of view
04/13/2006 12:57:06 AM
I don't really see how this meets the challenge...
04/12/2006 11:00:07 PM
How can you tell that these pots are candid and not posed? :)
04/12/2006 10:05:26 PM
what is candid about this photo? looks as staged as possible
04/12/2006 09:01:29 PM
to be quite candid, I don't see how in the world this could be considered a candid. Still life, yes. Candid... No.
04/12/2006 06:38:51 PM
Honestly, since pots can't move or pose, I don't really see this as a candid. I really like the background but find the placement of the pots, side to side, a little static. Also, the point of view is high - maybe bringing it down a little on your next attempt would add some depth. The lighting is good. Good luck in the challenge!
04/12/2006 06:36:33 PM
not a candid
04/12/2006 06:06:29 PM
sorry, not candid
04/12/2006 03:48:03 PM
This is not candid, in my opinion
04/12/2006 02:11:18 PM
Sorry, don't see the connection to the challenge. ???
04/12/2006 11:22:01 AM
You've got to be kidding... A candid shot of POTS?
04/12/2006 10:09:15 AM
candid.. hah!! no way man!
04/12/2006 06:48:12 AM
Now here's a real contender :-) I'm not quite sure what you might have misunderstood, but misunderstood you have.
