First b/w shot I have submitted in a long long time... Got the idea from Kiwiness image Self-Portrait, his is soooooooo much better though but I did the best I could with the little time I had, also, I had do shoot this in my tiny living room and after getting used to a relatively large studio with lots of room, this got tricky to light properly...

Lit with a single bowens 500 light and a 100x100cm softbox. Post processing was dodge/burn, curves adjustment, made b/w with channel mixer and finally sharpened after resizing.

If anybody recognizes the model, it´s because I have used her before. She is the girl in the middle in my Triptych entry and the model for my Road entry. I don´t really understand why this did so well, I am not really fond of my lighting on this one and the post proccesing was sloppy, did that after midnight. I truly believed this would score a 5.15 , not a 7.15 but I didn´t want to put her through putting that on her face for so long and me not using the shot so I dedicate this score 95% to Kristin´s acting, her expression is really priceless :)

Well, done, Larus. I thought this would ribbon or come pretty close. I guess 5th is pretty close! (And I did think of Kiwiness's image when I first saw this...)

Pretty solid picture. That's what making a photograph instead of taking a photograph is all about.
One minus note, the left side of her face is almost overexposed; it draw too much attention.

8 - Good. Toning/b&w works well. Likely looks good in color as well.

Fantastic shot, should ribbon. Two small nitpicks, slight halo under the chin, and the wet spot under the nose seems out of place.

if the mud was green you'd win a ribbon, but still a great fun shot.

Eek! I have pretty great skin for my age (38) so this isn't exactly my nightmare (mine always involove losing teeth). This is really well done. Great exposure and excellent image quality. Even though it's a phony set-up, it makes sense and works asthetically outside the challenge. I will be surprised if this doesn't ribbon.

ROFL This is clever. I wish the crackly stuff went all the way to the neck and shoulder, but the light and angle of the shot is great. Her expression is priceless. I like your imaginative take on it!! 8

This is a very nice photo, it almost looks real. If I were to shoot this photo I would have attempted to bring out a little more detail in the shadows using a fill light.
