This is the lessor known Jones River Bridge Over the Chattahoochee, near Atlanta...but struck a cord with the fog rising and the rocks and logs along the edge, not unlike the scene where the rescuers planned their assault. Tried multiple shots, crops, and tones and decided sepia might play up the age of the bridge and the scene. Also flipped horizontally to match the scene. The final became pretty pixelated...the original looks much better/sharper.

I remember watching this movie with my dad years ago. He really liked war movies and history films..I remember the colouring of the movie being very much like this, and the images in it are echoed well in this shot. There is a peacefulness on the surface, but you can sense some tension just below. Very well done. 10

A bit overprocessed/ or you have compressed the pic too much. The composition, however, is very pleasing.

I find this capture a little difficult to comment on.

The way it is rendered the viewer seems confronted by four almost disparate planes: the foreground, although apparently rich with crisply turbulent is almost unintelligible due to (what appears to be) excessive sharpness. The fog obsuring both water reflection and the feet of things (bridge pile-on, tree and shore) appears wonderfully silky with a nice tonal gradation from front to back. The bridge structure is partially obliterated (central sections) by processing (?). The treed shoreline (background left), however, pales as if placed under a milky film, when compared to the foregorund. It appears, as if differing post-processes were applied to parts of the image.

The image here shows a good bit of jpeg compression. I'd like to see the original. 7.
