Hi from the Critique Club.
As you are 100% solid with the technical aspects of photography, I will just offer my thoughts and reaction to your photo, particularly in light of the challenge. Just my opinion of course.
My first reaction is: wow, your jumper has some good air under his feet! And, the sky is outstanding. I'm guessing you centered the motorcycle on purpose and this makes me think he is going to jump on and ride off into the sunset. I think if he would have been holding the helmet or possibly tossing it in the air it might have give some more impact. The cool thing about this photo is that it captured a real moment. Maybe he didnt jump this high on the outside, but i'm sure the excitement was genuine and you did a good job of portraying this feeling.
The colors are fantastic, the purple is surreal. my only critisism of the color is the jumpers choice of shirt color. would a solid color shirt,(red??) have separated him from the BG?
Bottom line, it was nice picture with a good finish in the challenge. You have lots of great pics and i'm sure more to come.
PM me with any questions or comments.

this has front-page written all over it. may be a little over-sharpened, but i think most people will let it slide, as long as you tell them how that guy got so high ;-) |
