Commissioned in 1966 for the 50th anniversary of the National Research Council of Canada" in Ottawa... as a symbolic representation of the activities of NRC.
The sphere is 3.65 m in diametre, weigh approximately one tonne and mounted in a 7.9 diametre pool....

This picure as been take around 5.30pm "eastern summer time" and has not been modified

Thank for every positive comments....

but I love that shot.... to me its original and being against the sun, it true that is dark.....

Not wanted to be disqualified, I didn't modified anything....

Was the darkness of the ball to help hide you or an error from shooting towards the sun? I almost wish the ball was brighter to show off more of it's reflection. I do like the placement of the sun though and the rays and flare add a nice touch to it.

Nice idea. But in your efforts to include the sun, you underexposed badly, so that it's difficult to make out the nice reflections. You might be able to rescue this with level adjustment upwards.

I think this would be much more dramatic if the sun were reflected in the sphere instead of shining over it. The bright sun has caused the rest of the shot to be under exposed.

It is a bit out of the focus. Looks like the focus plane is around the tree in the background? Sometimes manual focusing is better even in the strong light...
