Siesta - posthumous
I am happy to be rags,
a patchwork man, a tatter
tittering in sleep.
I am dream-soaring,
jazz snoring solos
to the company I keep.
I failed geometry,
I won't bisect a square,
I don't care for math.
I am asymptotic
to the city, gritty
on the grid, ace of wrath.
Solitary Vista - meanwile
What more do I need than an arm to shield me,
shield me from the brick?
What more do I want than the sun to shine,
warming me to the quick?
November, she left me, left me alone,
left me alone to grieve.
I lie like a shadow, crumpled in place
with far too much air to breathe.

Subtle. The irregularity of the human form in this composition with such defined straight lines (stones and light distribution) makes the human stand out very well. 10 |

Looks like a prisoner of war - could see this on the front page of a paper |

I like the space and I like the graininess. Tones well done. 7 |

Strange title for a difficult and quite painful image: there is little sense of rest here. I like it very much - the astringent lines of the composition work very effectively with his apparent disorganisation. |

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry in this challenge.
Wow, so much dead space. It's a good candid. Too bad you couldn't get closer in on him so I could reach in and feel the emotion and the story. It's just too obscure. I gave it a 3. |

Gorgeous. Uncluttered, simple, and impactful all at the same time. Great shot. |
