Comments Made During the Challenge  |

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.
Unfortunately, candids of animals are really not what I look for in a good candid. Animals are aware and both unaware at the same time of a photographer, nor do they care either way. Too easy, no comfort zone lost. It's a 2 for me. |

| A decent wildlife shot, though one would naturally presume its a zoo shot, which is let down by processing i think: colour temperature seems all wrong, colour saturation is almost non-existent and yet it hasn't the feeling of being effectively de-saturated at all - just looks like it needs more work. Composition doesn't do a lot for me - that rock image right and its closeness ot the female, the half0dead tree image left ... |

Well, it is a nice image of a pair of lions. Not sure how far this will fly with the DNMC group as it's a stretch as a candid (being animals rather than people).
That branch on the left must have been annoying. Too bad you couldn't reach out and prune that out of there! ;^) Don't think the scenery would have remained quite so serene then. You did a nice job on exposing for the lighting and getting enough DOF to keep both lions in focus.
