Congratulations on your first entry! You even did better than me on your first entry than I did on mine! I would definitely echo what was said about making the crop a little bit tighter to emphasize the embrace. There's just a tadd too much negative space on the bottom and detracts the eye from the intended subject and causes he ye to wander a bit. I realize that the S7000 uses a 4:3 ratio crop. With this shot I probably would have usd the traditional 3:2 ratio and cut off a little bit of the bottom. I think it might have helped to get a little more of the brides head in there, that may have also put the hands at one of the Rule of 3rds intersections. Hope that helps! Looking good! I look forward to your future entries. |

I am a wedding photographer and I usualy have the couple posed for shots like this. Good shot though. I also use the same pose. |

I'd cut 1/3 of the bottom, it brings the embrace more into the eyes of the viewer. |

Wonderful, the way the hands stand out on his back with the ring on her finger. Very good. |

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry in this challenge.
Would have made a nice "hands" challenge shot, but I don't see candid here to me. I understand the imaginative concept in that of the candid you are portraying, but to me personally, I like to see straight-on emotional moments in, preferably, the face or situation. Here I just see that I have to imagine it rather than see it, and in that, I give this photo a 4. |
