Challenge: Candid III (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Kodak P850
Location: Back Porch. Mobile, Alabama
Date: Apr 10, 2006
Galleries: Humorous, Nature
Date Uploaded: Apr 11, 2006

I took this photo with a Kodak P-850 set on "auto". I am a complete novice so my editing was limited to a resize to meet the specs of this contest and some basic cleanup using the Kodak Easy Share software that came with the camera. When I took the photo they both looked at me and I was immediately reminded of that old Simon & Garfunkel song, "Wake Up Little Susie". They continued on with their affair for nearly an hour undisturbed by my voyeurism.

 Comments Made During the Challenge

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.

Unfortunately, candids of animals are really not what I look for in a good candid. Animals are aware and both unaware at the same time of a photographer, nor do they care either way. Too easy, no comfort zone lost. It's a 2 for me.

one of the few animal shots in this challenge that might actually be considered "candid"

I could just picture you interuppting their intimacy and the bright one hauling himself off his mate, grumbling 'fucking paparazzi, there's no getting away from 'em!'

The image is a bit grainy. Perhaps you could have tried to get a more interesting angle to shoot from to make the composition more interesting. It looks like a snapshot of some lizards bonking! :)

a little too small, should be close to 640 on at least one side
