::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
Photojornalism here I come .. what a bugger with this weeks challenge this would have been up there.
Composition:
I think this works well ... the crop words .. and the waters tells all the story you need.
Subject:
Meets the challenge .. although is he aware of you taking the picture .. it is one of those images where I think he looked at you at the wrong moment :)
Technical (Colour and light):
a little wishy washy, but hey its a flood .. what else would it be.
To grow its vote?:
Focus more on the man than the scene .. you will see from the top ten only in a couple did the scene have anything to add.
Summary:
This is good .. I hope your home wasn't involved.
If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.
Cheers

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
Nice capture of a bad moment in time, but not the best candid I would say. He is just standing there. Little emotion. Little wow factors. Just kind of boring without the scene to the left. Looks also like a bit of partial desat went on, and it really fairs the photo no better. It's a 4 vote from me. |
