I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.
Children are far to easy to get candids of in my opinion. They are prime targets and do lots of precious things every day. This is no exception. However, in a candid, I like to see something more out of the ordinary, or obscure, or something that tells a story and/or sparks stimulation or emotion. To me this is just not what I look for in a candid. It's a 3 for me. |

Nice but I'd like to see her face. This shot would have benefited from a helper holding some sort of reflector (white poster board, board covered with foil) to fill in the features of her face more. The details in her hands are quite a bit blown out. It looks like good exposure of her hands was sacrificed in order to get a better exposure of her face. There is an overall lack of good detail in the midtones. The cropping is nice. |
