 A bud taken in the garden in the sun - glad to see spring. Slightly enhanced the blue in the background.

Looks very soft to me. Very visible halo around the upper part of the subject.

I like the composition of this with the diagonal formed by the buds. The focus needs to be sharper on the first bud to really spark the picture.

The subject looks indefensibly blurry to me, and the resolution seems to have been too low to have allowed the shot to have been blown up to this size. In other regards, it's a nice attempt at a macro, but these flaws just stand out too strongly for me to give it anything more than a "3.5." Unfortunately, as there's no option for giving such a grade, I'll have to rely on my handy coin: the coin decides "3."
