The old man (Don, I'm assuming), is really cute and I love the way that the shirt and background stand out, causing the focus to be on him.

Beautiful! Love his eyes - says a lot! Friendly, patient, content... all the feelings that are portrayed.

The yellowy background and his desaturated skin make him look too unnatural.

I think the backround spoiles the photo could have been better in B/W

too much detail on the skin. Especially the nose and mouth. Unsharp mask in separate channels could give you a sharper image without enchancing grain and skin defects.

I find the background to be too distracting color-wise, due to his face appearing slightly desaturated. Otherwise, great lighting, composoure, and focus.

This background just doesn't work with his skintone, for me. Sorry.

Wow, this picture really didn't look all that impressive as a thumbnail, but ΓΆ€” "actual size" ΓΆ€” it's awesome. This is one of the bext portraits I've seen recently.

Great shot...... but I think a much tighter crop would have been way more effective.... this guy has got a great face! 8

Either black and white a toned image would have been better or just the original colors. Nice character and portrait. It never hurts to try different things for other probably like it. The main thing is you have to like it.
