 I went out on the 12th and was taken back by our neighbor's flowers seperating our two yards. Over the next few days, I shot over 1000 images.

I converted this to black and white to really have the ability to seperate the flowers from their surroundings.

Personally I think there is a problem with DOF here, on the larger flower. The night of the 12th was a real bad storm and when I went out the next day to try and get a better focused shot, these flowers were gone, too badly damaged by the storm.

But I was able to shoot the others, but I am quite particular about this shot for some reason.

Post Edit: Well, of course it didn't do well as I had expected, [not hoped]. I knew the focus was off, but I thought the subject would carry it - even with all the predictable flora.

Nice BW picture of flowers. I think that is difficult to pull off at times.

Focus is a bit soft at the front. I think colour would have looked better against the nice background you've chosen.

Composition is good, unfortunately the picture is blurry. DOF or focus is off

i like the flowers but i think you should have run through an unsharp mask more to bring them out

this doesn't say "spring" at all, looks more like "graveyard" - why not in color?

I've seen a lot of plants and trees... Yes, they meet the challenge, but where is the creativity... It's the image that stands out from the rest that wins me over.
