From the CTP MkII
First Impression: It's an average photo... it doesn't have much to offer, IMO. Sorry. 4 or 5.
Composition: Your comp on this photo is what keeps it standing however the other departments get tanked. 5 or 6.
Subject: When you said lonely tree, I'd've expected more tree and less not tree. 4 or 5.
Technical: DOF's a bit too shallow, and shot's a bit underexposed. 5.
Summary: Okay, this ain't one of your best photos. T least the ones that followed it did good, right?

I like your use of the non-traditional window for this challenge. I think it may have been better if you had more interest in the framed area. Maybe found a way to zoom in more on the lonely tree, or captured it at a slightly different angle. |

If you follow the levels around it forms a spiral leading from the foreground back to the tree -- very nice effect. |

Nice but I feel this would look soo much cooler with a red sunset in the sky instead of the gray blob that it is now. 5 from me. |

I'm okay with blank skies usually but I think with the sky almost centered like this that I want to see more detail or color. |

I think you picked a perfect window for framing, but there is really no subject other than the window itself. Nice focus and good exposure, but I think that there needs to be something other than the distant tree in the frame. |

Very nice use of color and tones. Really like the concept and the crop on this one. At first, I found myself looking for a bluer sky other than just the whiteness, howevr, after looking at it a few times, I think that it is part of what makes the it al;l come together. |

This has lots of potential. It seems like you should have waited to much later (or earlier) in the day to shoot this in order to get a more dynamic sky or at least one that is not so easily blown out. |
