The lighting is very flat, it always helps to have the subject brighter than the background |

Looks a bit underexposed to me, and the eye is naturally drawn to the bright area at top right. |

One of the reasons I didn't enter this challenge was because I was not creative enough to think of a picture that exhibited complementary colors and didn't involve a flower... I see that you too have failed at at least one of these... There is too much brown in the picture. 3 |

3 - Like the concept but too much detail seems to have been lost. Also, quality dependent, tighter crop, or just variation on angle/etc, to 'eliminate' the green, make this better in my opinion. |

Think this needs a much tighter crop to eliminate much of the green, which takes away from the complimenting color elements of the flower. |

needs a bit of a lift in photoshop...lighting is a little dull |
