 I went to Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina this afternoon. I didn't shoot a lot of photos, but these coin-operated binoculars always fascinate me, especially in this particular landscape. This mountain is about 5,300 feet above sea level. The wind here today was sustained between 40 and 60 miles per hour with gusts reaching 80 and 90 mph. Doing anything with the tripod was rediculously difficult. I could not let go of the tripod or it would blow over. We can't have that :)

I realy liked the amount of detail in this picture. A bit to monochromatic, but I gave it an 8.

This looks very strange, almost like they are aliens from another planet. Very effective negative image, good luck.

I don't think you benefit from all the empty space in the foreground.

I like the alienish idea here and the subtle title doesn't say anything to distract for the ambiguity. 7
