It can not be his fault that everybody else is submitting the same thing.

nice colors, a little out of focus on the front edge

Yellow and Mauve are OK. You should have removed the red flowers from the composition to win better marks !

Lovely although the red flower in the back is a bit distracting.

Beatiful colors, but more DOF would have helped.

The focus is not in the front of the picture, it is crisp to the left and on the yellow colour and therefore the big flower in the front is distracting instead of being the main subject.
Better luck next time.
Still Bumping a bit up.

too wide aperture! With a tripod and F/11 it would look better.

wow, a double - red/green in the background, purple/yellow in the foreground. You did a good job bringing one to the "starring role", but the extra vine at top and bud at bottom, etc take away a bit. 7

3 - Good potential here. Looks like a vase of flowers, for this Challenge, concentrating just on the iris with the complementary scheme of purple/blue and yellow/orange (tweaking in pp to get one or the other), a different angle, eliminating the other detracting flowers and colors and a variation in composition, make this better in my opinion. Looks blown and 'too close' focal-wise as well. Shame about the dead pixel and grain, again, varying the composition and/or crop, likely have helped this.

Intriguing photos. Looks like some kind of elaborate dress. Love how the focus is immediatly on the yellow, than it drifts around to see all the blue in the image. I think a deeper DOF (depth of field, which is achieved by shooting with a smaller aperture) would have helped bring more into focus. It looks a little grainy, maybe upgrade your camera ;).
