Shot this one in my work parking lot. Just got my 50mm 1.8 and it was the first shot of an automobile. I actually shot it inside my car ( geekmobile! ). Just looked at it after doing some curves and saw the red and green and was like hey! I can atleast enter it since theres the complimentary colors. Probably wont get a high score but my first entry with my 350d. Thanks for voting!

I find the glare of the hood and windshield distracting and the pavement is too bright for me. I think the background is too bright and busy.

Highlights are way overblown. IF you can attach a neutral density filter to your camera, much of the problem with imbalance of light would be taken care of.

Nice car. Excellent saturation on the car and nice hightlights on it but the blown out background takes away. The horizon is also crooked.

cool car

backgrounds a bit bright. beautiful subject though.

there isn't really enough green to compete with all the red of the car

Interesting

That is one sexy viper, I like the way you have processed it, but I wonder if you could have used a bit more of an exciting angle, situation permitting?

Don't give up hope. You can reach your goals.

Hmmmm...Viper! You and me buddy. :) Great complementary colours too.

I would have preferred the green to be in focus

Nice car. Dodge Vipers always have been one of my favorites. The over-saturation works for this method of photo. It's very.. industrial, I'd say. However, I think the high contrast will be a turn-off for many, and the slight tilt of the horizon will work against you as well. But boy.. that red is great.

Composition is nice but I find the background a little too confusing and the hood a bit too washed out. Maybe a polarizing or neutral density filter might have helped with the detail on the roof.

a little blown out on the hood of the car

I love a fast car but it may have looked better at an angle. also the background parkinglot is washed out.

Sweet, sweet car. At first my thoughts about the image were 'meh', but after a few seconds those colors sure do stand out. Maybe a little more preservation of the highlights would have helped, but I really like it anyway.

I saw this one your site and I actually like the other version better.

Highlights are really blown out. I can barely see any separation between the hood of the car and the parking lot.
04/27/2006 04:58:37 PM
Sharper please
04/27/2006 11:33:14 AM

04/26/2006 11:28:08 PM
good shot
04/26/2006 09:16:41 PM
Great lines and contrast with the red and greens! Good Job!
04/26/2006 12:38:50 PM
A bit too oversaturated. Highlights seem to be blown out.
04/26/2006 09:11:04 AM
It's a little overexposed.
04/26/2006 06:51:56 AM
6 - High key enough to allow the green and red to dominate. Like the stop sign, adds.
04/26/2006 05:28:37 AM
this is really blown out and overexposed
