How can the aperture be 2.8 when the lense can't do that ? :D

Beautiful simplicity works incredibly well with these negative images and that's exactly what has been done here! Really a great shot. Definitely one of the best. Good luck for at least top 10! A 10 from me :)

I really like the orange and yellow background, which are colors we would expect from fire. The smoke then is cool too because smoke could be black at times. I had thought about flames but didn't like what I got, I wish I had thought of a recently extinguished flame.
