Very nice color and saturation. might benifit from just a touch more unsharp mask. Could also be set off-center. Regardless, I like it. Good job. |

Flower occupies only small part of the image. |

I like the subject....I do a lot of botanicals myself. I like the out of focus background. The bit of blue flower showing in the upper left is distracting. It could have been cropped out. Ohhh also too centered. |

Neat flower! I haven't seen this one before. It's cool that the pedals are spiked upward towards the left corner and most of the green pedals follow. |

nice study of this flower. I might have eliminated the blue of the top flower, but that is a matter of taste. And perhaps if I saw the whole thing I'd go with the crop you have chosen. |

Need to get closer. Fill more of the frame. |

try to isolate the flower better using a smaller f-stop next time. :) |

Pity you didn't crop out the out of focus flower on top of the picture. |

Like this picture; tend to make pics such as these myself. Think though it would have been a little stronger if you had cropped out the blue flower in the background. |

Here's another example of where I think that the 'rule of thirds' would improve the overall image :) = 6 - jmsetzler

Nice shot. The detail of the flower w/ blurred background is perfect. |

Pretty blue. Focus is a bit soft. Kee |

Lovely shot. I really like these flowers (forget the name), from a straight on view, they resemble blue fireworks, plus that view is "flatter" so less need for a broader depth of field. Pretty good depth of field, petals pointing at us are a bit out of focus. 8 Swash |

I had tried to take a photo of an identical plant. My color did not turn out a nice as this. Nice shot. |
