My first submission! please be gentle.
OK, this is a old rail yard in Chicago. huge powerful looking structures which had been left unused for a long time. Took full color photo convert to BW then negative. and cropped. please give me your honest opinion. thank you.

I see. I thought negative would give it a more dramtic effect. Thanks for the info!

I think you got lots of 1s because this image is perceived as gimmicky through the use of negative (it's never popular). It doesn't mean a lot particularly and the image is almost totally reliant on the effect rather than the subject. It's a good composition though.

WOw, 10 1's. I wish I'd know why I was given 1's. Somebody enlighten me! I'd like to know so I can get better.

I'm not a fan of the filter you used. It makes it look more of an abstract then a photo, but thats probably what you were going for.

oh great shot, the flash makes it snap in your face. It's quite a different shot but i like it (7)

Sometimes the focus on the foreground object, the fence in this case, is effective. In this case though, I'd wished you focused on the towers in the background.
