 It really isn't that bad to receive this award -- actually the kids covet the Screwball Award. My daughter was presented with this award after the production because just before curtain, she locked herself in some prop handcuffs that had no key. The show was delayed 20 minutes while several people attempted to "pick" the lock.

If that's a real award, I think someone should be flogged for creating it. Nothing like "devistating" the heart of a youngster. Very nice play into the topic. Pretty good photography too :)

This is certainly a visually interesting image. Makes me want to know the story behind it. Unfortunately, I can't really connect it with a sense of desolation.

I like the photograph - but the fact that someone ends up with the screwball award and is therefore 'desolate' is a bit of a stretch. I understand that there is only 1 who screws up and gets the award.

I keep going back to the definition to check but yes, I think this would show desolation... interesting shot. Very creative and original.

I have to say I'm very confused, and slightly intrigued by this entry. I have no idea what it means, so that means it could or could not apply to desolation. Because I'm so confused, I will judge it independantly as a photo. This is a nice, clean shot. The lighting is a little bright, but all in all nice photo. Very intreguing.
