 Banmorn is my floral hero... I don't shoot many, but couldn't resist this spring.
Shutter Priority & Center wieght metering created the dark background which were dark shrubs.
Cropped increased brightness and hue/sat slightly. cloned out edge of a flower in the corner and a few minor spots where the background came through

The light and color really grab me in this image! The black background sets of the yellow with drama! The negative space works well, adding an extra dimension to the composition....nicely done!

Poohey on those people who dog flowers! We keep on shooting them in the hopes of getting something this wonderful. Technically and artistically exceptional!

Wonderful use of light and I love the contrast of the black background. There's a tiny visible smudge in the lower right quadrant, but I was staring for a while before I saw it. Very nice. bumping up.

The light coming through here is beautiful. The black background seems too dark for such a bright and pretty flower.

I like the lighting & splash of color in the petals but the crop doesn't "wow"

Wow! That is so beautiful. It actually looks like a LIGHT! Without the being the slightest bit over-exposed! It takes a lot to impress me with flower pictures, but this one definitely does!!!

The backlighting combined with removing the background creates a vibrant image. One of the best flower shots I've seen in a long time.
