| Good capture of "facial expression" and the emotional tenseness of the cat. With regard to composition, I think maybe a tighter crop on the left and top of the frame. With regard to exposure, image looks a bit flat and lacks contrast and sharpness. This really isn't the most visually interesting background/foreground. Overall, this has more of a "snapshot" feel than I would expect to find in a Free Study challenge. |

| Very nice. Even the wood has sort of a sheen look to it that matches that of the cat's coat. Also, nice job with the focus. I know how hard it can be to focus on a black cat like that. |
