Nice job on this, Jen. But, uh... you better hide that guy before your husband gets home. :P

Very nice portrait, but you look a little tense. I bet it was from running to get into the shot and posed soon enough, huh? Great composition and really nice lighting. If you'd had your left arm down on his skin, I think that you could have eliminated most of the shadow underneath without any extra lighting. Having that wrist bent up also adds to your tense look. The expression is great, giving a very intense look rather than cold. I like it. The shadow over the left eye is a bit distracting, but easily remedied by pulling that hair back just a, well, hair. I like the initial entry as well. Your catch lights are much more pronounced with fewer distracting shadows. Wonderful job overall!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the helpful comments guys! You are exactly right about the title, should have been "Hers". The silly thing is I had another shot uploaded and at the very last second, literally, I changed to this one. Here was the original submission:

It was title His and I think it fit more aptly to that photo. But I was afraid I'd run out of time and didn't have an idea of what to call the new photo so I left it.

I also agree the the gaze is a little cold and unattached but I liked that about it, in that it seemed different from the normal "couple" shot. I did prefer my original shot over this one, but again, I messed up with the aperture and the out of focus hand really bothered me. :( Live and learn and thanks again! :)

Nicely done portrait...like the choice of duotone. Think it would be slightly stronger if her nad were in focus, especially the ring. Would have titled it "Hers"... :)

Nice shot and interesting composition.

The expression on the face contradcits the title to me though. Her expression looks more at the viewer as "He's here... but YOU'RE mine!"

Anyway, high score.

there is a very strange glow around the two people, in the background and I whink I would have cropped it more from below, the shadow at the bottom do nothing for the picture.

I like this shot, although for some reason I feel a little uncomfortable with the her hand, not sure if it is the placement or if the focus seems soft on it. Maybe if it were lower it wouldn't pull me away from her eyes. Just my opinion

Very original and artistic self-portrait. The lighting and tones are all great. I do wonder how this would look if both eyes were lit the same, I get a bit of cyclops feel the way I focus in on the one eye, but on the other hand I like the mood and mystery that is created the way it is. Yeah I know, kind of a wishy washy comment.

Hmmm... what this shot needs.... is .... a baseball cap! Sorry could not resist. Nice intimate shot, ring to the fore, intense look. Big marks from me.

when i look at this i think more "hers"
because of the look on her face, it looks, like she dominates him, i have a horrible vocabulary
but you get what i am saying?
