Greetings from the Critique Club Shannon.
Good title and the colors are certainly beautiful. I think composition really got you in a bad spot here. There's a lot going on (busy) and my eyes just keep wandering all over the image wanting more. All of the subjects on the edge of this shot are cropped out: The flowers on the bottom front and the ones in the bucket. The guy's back and feet. The lady's elbow, etc. The tilted canvas in the background didn't help you either. Also seems to be a stop underexposed as well. So many things fight for attention here that it's a bit hard to overcome.
Thanks for the opportunity to critique this image Shannon.
Cheers - Phil |

This seems tilted and more of a candid "grab" shot than a carefully composed photojournalistic photo, as your subjects are partially cut off on both sides. |

Colour is good, focus is ok, background behind the lady is distracting. I just cant see this being a photojournalist picture at all. 3 |

I think this would have worked for me with a bit more info in the title. |

There is something unappealing about your composition. Perhaps it's because both people are near the edges of the frame with a large portion of your photograph as dead space or perhaps it's because I can't really see either of their faces and so can't make a "connection" with either, perhaps it's a little bit of both and with the tilted verticals too, it just doesn't work. Sorry. |
