Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi likewh0a :)
I think your own comment sums up the validity of this photo. It doesn't look like you put much effort into it. Some of your comments also talk about the shadow and time of day, and that is a big issue here also. Time of day is everything for outdoor photos, and this one simply is at a very bad time. I can't offer you much critique and I don't believe the image warrants any more than this unfortunately.

A beautiful structure. I don't know well enough of it's location to know whether you can get the face fully lit by the sun - would be better than half and half if at all possible. |

how appropriate that it is half-shrouded in shadow! Nice framing! |

Bad time of day IMO - The hald shadow does not really work. |

Man I love NYC! Nice perspective and comp. It just seems that it may have been the wrong time of day to take this as the sun and shadows detract from the photo IMO. |

Early AM (PM?) lighting blocked by another building is a little funky. Then there's the stop light. A good fit for the challenge. |

The harsh lighting doesn't help and the signal is a little distracting. Nice try tho. |

Half of your subject is in shadow and the other in light. |

With one spire clipped, a skyscraper growing between the two spires, and way too contrasty lighting? Surely there was a better angle/tighter crop to be found for this dignified place. |

I would have tried to capture this at a different time of day. The shadow cuts right across the church and the sky is washed out |

Fantastic building, but i would preferred the cathedral to be either fully in the shade or the sun, one or the other. |

The tip is a bit cut off. |
