| This would of been a great shot, but the quality is really bad and the lighting is harsh on the side of the childs face. |

| I think the grain, extreme harsh lighting and blue toning of this image really support and give credence to the intense, desperate and sad expression of your young model, all contribuiting to a very cogent image for this challenge. He appears almost to be a poster-child for some cause or disease. Well done. |

| Brilliant. I love this child's expression. After all, a picture is more than a thousand words. However, Personally, I think the image is too pixelated [if that's a word] and the crop is too tight around the face; too close to the eye. I see that brilliant glow around the right side of the child's face, but the left? Perhaps zoom out a little to get in the whole face and lots of that glow. However, well done. Good try =) |

Aaaw - I can feel it! Very pixelated though - is this a very close crop of a small portion of the image or simply taken on a low res camera? I like the blue tone and the harsh lighting.

Hmmm, not sure about this one. I don't see kids really having desolate feelings unless of course they're hungry homeless orphans. This kid is just too healthy and cute. Sorry, not buying it. He's got some great eyes tho...

| A bit grainy and also overexposed to the sides. Other than that this is a nice picture which captures the mood quite well. |
